Typographic Patterns

Tasked with producing a series of patters strictly from typographic elements, I developed a system that expresses holiday concepts through typographic patterns.

I started by exploring three basic concepts:

1. Words, familiar phrases, and common patterns

2. Festive words formatted around a circle to create the pattern

3. The scientific molecules of caffeine, water, and ice used to create winter expressions

I then explored what these patterns would look like on various surfaces.

Ultimately, I chose to follow the words and
phrases in circular patterns to pursue.

These patterns made use of familiar Christmas stories and themes in a new modern way that create compelling designs for gift-wrap

These were my final concepts with some extra color options and variations.
